Google Pixel is made to provide the best mobile virtual reality experience. The Google Pixel and Pixel XL are the first to be fully Daydream-certified, and ready for use with Google’s new VR platform. Daydream VR is fairly new but it has plenty of VR apps and games. There is also a lot of VR content available on YouTube that you can watch using the Daydream Viewer.
The Daydream View includes a Headset and a controller. The headset is made of lightweight breathable fabric and comes in three colors: slate, crimson, and snow. Right now the headset is only available in Slate while the other two will be coming later.
The Daydream controller is what you will use to navigate through apps and games in VR. It lets you interact with the virtual world the same way you do in the real world. The controller has smart sensors that track the movements and gestures of your hand and simulates it in VR world.
Tronsmart USB Type-C Car charger
This car charger by Tronsmart is probably the best car charger that you can get right now. It has a fixed USB Type-C cable that can be used to charge your Pixel and a Quick Charge 3.0 port that can be used to charge other devices. The charger is able to detect the device and will provide the fastest charging speed that you device supports.
It is built with premium materials and has full protection against over-current, overcharging and overheating for safe and fast charging. The charger is available on Amazon for $15 only.
Rhinoshield bumper case
We have already shared this case in our Ultimate Google Pixel accessories list. This bumper case has 810G 516.6 military grade rating for impact protection and can provide protection from drops up to 11 feet.
The case is very thin and lightweight. It only covers the side of the phone and is made of hard and soft polycarbonate with matte texture for enhanced grip. It bumper case does not cover the back of the device so this case is good for people who don’t usually cover their phone with a case.
The case is available in three different colors: black, white and red for $24.99 on Amazon.
USB C to Micro USB Adapter
You probably have a bunch of old micro-USB connectors that you won’t be able to use with Pixel using the cable that you get in the box. This USB-C to micro USB Adapter by Anker will solve this problem and will let you use all those accessories with the Pixel.
The adapter uses a USB 2.0 interface for charging and data transfer. So, if you have an old power bank that has a micro-USB port then you will be able to charge your Pixel using this connector. The Adapter is small enough to fit in your wallet and you get two of these for just $7.99.
Portable Power Bank
Google Pixel’s battery can easily last a whole day with heavy usage but sometimes you forget to charge your phone in the morning and your phone dies in the middle of the day. That’s when a portable power bank will save your day and charge your phone on the go.
The portable power banks come in a whole bunch of varieties but one we recommend is the Anker PowerCore+ 20100 USB-C power bank. This portable charger holds enough juice to charge your Pixel XL 5 times and will still have some power left. It can charge up to 3 phones at the same time and features PowerIQ and Voltage Boost technology to charge a phone at the fastest possible charge speed.
If you are a casual photographer who likes to take a lot of pictures and videos from their phone then this accessory will help you step up your game. A tripod will help you shoot stabilized videos, time lapse and photos with long exposure.
There are a lot of cheap mobile tripods available on Amazon but most of them have very bad build quality and do not last for a long time. The tripod that we recommend is the PIXI Smart tripod by Manfrotto. It is made of premium materials like technopolymer & aluminium and features a top quality and tactile finish.
The tripod is small and can easily fit in your bag. Another good thing about this tripod is that it can hold devices up to 1Kg, so you can also use it to mount bigger cameras.
