Exclusive: Reliance Jio to offer free 4G services to Google Pixel users for 15 months

Reliance Jio has gained a lot of popularity in India by offering free unlimited calls, SMS and 4G data to all of its 16 million users. This offer is known as a ‘Welcome Offer‘ by Jio and will end on 31st December 2016 after which the users will have to pay for the services.

But it seems like Jio doesn’t want to end its offers just now as it has announced free unlimited calls, SMS and 20GB monthly 4G data for one year to all new iPhone users on its network. And it looks like Google Pixel users will also get the same treat.

Under its new scheme, the Pixel users on Jio network will receive 15 months of complimentary services. Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio will offer the same benefits to Google Pixel users that it is giving to iPhone users.

The benefits include unlimited free voice calls, SMS and 20GB monthly data for 15 months (3 months more than the iPhone offer). The total offer value is equivalent to about 20,000 INR.

The offer will automatically be activated on all Pixel phones from January 1, 2017. And, will be valid for all Google Pixels purchased from Flipkart or any other retailer. You will also be able to get a free Jio sim card if you buy the Google Pixel directly from Reliance Digital stores.

The Jio pixel offer might not be restricted to only the Pixel and Pixel XL and it is possible that they also launch it for the last year’s Nexus 5X and 6P. But Google or Reliance has not yet commented anything about this offer.

The Google Pixel and Pixel XL are now being sold in India via Flipkart and other large format store chains including Vijay Sales, Croma, Reliance Digital, Jumbo, Spice Mobility, Poorvika and Sangeetha Mobiles across the country.
